Eastex Credit Union’s System Upgrade
Eastex members, you asked, we listened! Over the past couple of years, we have compiled constructive member feedback to help make your credit union better. We know you want greater operational efficiencies, security, and improved functionality to fit your lifestyle. With all that, we are proud to announce that our technology will be upgraded completely on February 3rd, 2025. This strategic transformation will optimize your traditional and digital transactions by upgrading our core and online banking platforms, including the bill pay program. These system enhancements will support Eastex’s long-term growth objectives and improve our electronic delivery systems. In this blog, we’ll review the changes and dates affecting our members for this upgrade.
This process began over a year ago when we started viewing our core processing and digital banking systems, which would benefit our account holders’ experiences. We have over 10,000 members, serve five counties, have six branches, and always search for areas where we can grow. During this upgrade, we will have some brief interruptions, which will be communicated in detail as we get closer to February. To be prepared for the system upgrade, please make sure we have your up-to-date contact information so we can keep you informed. Eastex is hoping to work quickly and as efficiently as possible for the upgrade, however, in order to have a new operating system, we must shut down the current system. The shutdown is for transferring data and bringing the new system online with minimal inconvenience. We apologize in advance for any disruption this may cause you.
Important Dates
Eastex is committed to ensuring our members are aware of what’s happening and when it’s happening. Below are the most important dates to mark for this system upgrade.- OPEN – February 3, 2025, Evadale, Silsbee, and Kirbyville Branches. Drive will open at 8:00 am on February 3- 4, 2025, and lobbies will open at 8:30 am. Regular hours will resume on February 5, 2025.
- CLOSED for SYSTEM UPGRADE – Kountze and Spurger Branches. Drive thru’s and lobbies will be closed. Regular hours will resume on February 5, 2025.
- PERIODIC DOWNTIME – January 31, 2025 @ 6pm – February 3,2025 Online & Mobile Banking
- LIMITED ACCESS – January 31, 2025 – February 3, 2025 – Debit & Credit Card Network
